Itinerary

Highlights include: Performances of Le nozze di Figaro and The Sleeping Beauty at the Vienna State Opera

Day 1 

Fly from London Heathrow to Vienna and transfer to the hotel K+K Palais  for five nights.

Day 2

This morning there will be a walking tour through the centre of Vienna from the hotel to the cathedral and along the Graben, one of the city’s most attractive and historic streets, to the Hofburg where we will see the State Treasury with the Imperial Crown Jewels.

Day 3 (Christmas Eve)

This morning we will go to the Kunsthistorisches Museum where we will see one of the world’s great art collections.

Day 4 (Christmas Day)

The day will be free until we leave for the performance of The Sleeping Beauty. The Sleeping Beauty – ballet, music by Tchaikovsky.

Day 5 (Boxing Day)

We will drive to the palace of Schonbrunn this morning. This was the Summer Palace of the Imperial family and we will visit the apartments. Later we attend the performance of Le nozze di Figaro.

Adam Fischer conducts this perfect opera for the Christmas period. Adam Platchetka sings the title role, Adrian Erod and Christina Carvin are the Almavivas and Anita Hartig is Susanna.

Day 6  

We drive to the airport for the flight back to London.
