Mozambique offers pristine beaches, warm waters and unspoilt reefs. Scuba diving here is truly world class. Mozambique has steadily established itself as one of the top dive destinations in the world. Mozambique has amazing reefs as well as some great shark reefs more to the South. Diving in this country offers great variety. Mozambique is also known for its dolphin swimming and whale watching.

Avid shark divers should definitely visit Mozambique’s top two shark reefs, Pinnacles and Pandaine Express. The new dive destination of Zavora, Mozambique, now also welcomes divers to come and enjoy their sharks, Manta rays, whales and wrecks.

PADI Discover Scuba Course (1 day) Please note that this is not a full qualification, but is a wonderful introduction to the underwater world. Theory, pool session and 1 dive

PADI Open Water Course (3 - 5 days) Qualification as an open water diver (dive independently with a buddy to a maximum of 18 with the dolphins is strictly monitored and controlled in line with conservation guidelines.

FISHING CHARTERS There’s nothing like the thrill of deep sea fishing off the Mozambican coast. For the experience of a lifetime, book a full or half-day charter in a boat stocked with refreshments as we set out to some of the world’s richest deep sea fishing grounds. The boat is equipped with both light and heavy tackle for game fishing as well as a GPS and Fish Finder.

Depending on the season, guests frequently encounter Sailfish, King Mackerel, Dorado, King Fish and a variety of Tuna. We practice a catch-and-release policy on all our fishing adventures. Let our knowledgeable skippers guide you in your pursuit of your catch and allow our experienced deckhands to assist you with tasks such as baiting. You’ll also have the opportunity of spotting other marine animals, such as sharks, whales and dolphins in their natural habitat. Fishing tackle provided.

KAYAKING The Mozambican coastline, with its expanse of white beaches and rocky coves is a prime sea kayaking spot. Spend hours paddling around and exploring the warm Indian Ocean bay. One man sea kayaks are available from our Dive Centre and tutoring is available on request. As this is a strenuous activity, guests must be over 16 years of age.

TURTLE NESTING WALKS (seasonal, November to February) The Southern Mozambique Marine Turtle Nesting Monitoring, Tagging and Conservation Program, which is being implemented and coordinated by ‘Associação para Investigação Pesqueira’ (AICM) monitors marine turtle nesting, tagging and conservation along the southern Mozambique coast.

White Peal Resorts is home to one of the richest turtle nesting sites in Southern Mozambique. Special attention is given from November to February when the loggerhead and leatherback turtles lay their eggs on this stretch of the beach. The Monitors patrol the beaches at nighttime, and will advise the Resort if there are any sightings.

HORSE RIDING Explore the natural bush surrounding White Pearl Resorts on horseback. Gallop along a bush trail, weaving through indigenous flora and fauna and enjoy the spectacular views of the ocean from a high - up vantage points. All rides are professionally managed to ensure and enjoyable.

DIVING INFORMATION .

Guludo is a registered "PADI Resort" with an excellent dive centre running a full range of PADI dive courses for complete beginners to experienced divers. PADI Discover Scuba Diving (half day) The Discover Scuba Diving course provides an introduction to SCUBA diving that includes shallow water training plus a dive to 12 meters on the stunning reefs off Rolas Island. An opportunity to try scuba diving in a tropical environment with no commitment.

PADI Open Water Diver (3 to 4 days) The PADI Open Water Diver course will certify you as a PADI diver, enabling you to dive anywhere in the world to 18 meters. During the course you will spend a day enjoying the shallow waters and corals close to Rolas mastering key skills, which you will then use during four progressively deeper divers over the following days on some of the most diverse, untouched and unexplored coral reefs in the world. Each evening a short informative presentation covers the academic aspects of the course further developing your knowledge and understanding.

PADI Scuba Diver (2 days) The PADI Scuba diver course is designed for those with insufficient time to complete the full Open Water course. The qualification, which can be upgraded at any time, allows you to dive anywhere in the world to 12 meters under the supervision of a PADI professional.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (2 to 3 days) This course is designed to improve dive skills making divers feel more comfortable and knowledgeable in the water whilst experiencing a new range of environments and increasing your depth limit to 30 meters. The course consists of five open water adventure dives from a list of over 20, including a Deep Dive, Digital Photography, Drift Dive, Computer Dive, Project AWARE Fish ID Dive and many more. Refresher (half day) This is a course for qualified divers who haven’t dived for a while and need to refresh their dive skills. Included is a full theory session including tables a shallow water dive to refresh all skills and a dive to one of sites at Matemo or Rolas.
