The Main Lodge
Sal Salis’ main lodge, where guests gather for meals and downtime, is raised above the sand and coastal scrub with views out onto the reef and Indian Ocean. Here you will find a small reference library with a variety of board games and a comfortable lounge area with self-service bar – an ideal spot for relaxing during the heat of the day with a cold drink and good book.
Down by the beach you will find a shaded area with sun loungers and an icebox filled with cold drinks. Snorkel equipment is also available at the lodge, including wetsuits and life vests, for when Ningaloo's crystal blue waters call you in for a dip.
The sunken dining area at the lodge is where you will join with other guests for a menu of delicious meals created by our talented, resident chef. After dinner, we encourage you to sit back on the Whale Deck and look up - the number of stars is simply astonishing and the location is known to be one of the best places to see the Milky Way. The lodge guides bring to life the myriad of stars and point out the many different constellations filling the night sky.
Remember Sal Salis Safari Camp is a fair distance from the nearest town, so enjoy a couple of blissful days with no phone signal or wifi, but for urgent needs, the lodge has a landline.
